This Blog Has Moved

New year. New blog. Plus with the upcoming changes to the family, not fair for Sam to have a blog all to himself. He's going to have to learn to share the spotlight a bit in a few months. So follow us at nottafarm.wordpress.com. And don't worry. All these older posts have been imported to the new one, so there's still lots of baby Sam to entertain.

Yeah, I know.

Ok, so the blog has been completely abandoned this summer. Sorry about that. A certain three-year-old little boy is quite demanding of my time, but I promise to make a fresh start and do better ... starting soon. I'll search through my photos and find some good ones to share. Ash and I just converted Sam's toddler bed into a full-size bed. I'll have lots to show you from that. Just hang with me a little longer.

Gifts from Sam

For my birthday, Sam bought me a princess crown. He really wanted to get me a matching princess gown, but couldn't quite find what he was looking for while shopping at Wal-Mart with his daddy. And he made us the necklaces that you see us wearing in the photo. I now have to wear both the crown and necklace while playing outside.

NottaFarm Picnic

Some photos from a recent picnic here at NottaFarm. Sam and I drove the mule over into the lot and found a perfect spot to enjoy a little outdoor lunch.

I know. I know.

Yeah, it's been a while. Life with a three-year-old is a little chaotic and incredibly busy. So let me sort through these photos and I'll see what I've got to show you.

Dinner, Sam Style

I don't even remember when this first started, but now this is how Sam wants to do dinner most nights - by candlelight.

Morning, Sam Style

This is how he woke me up:

Yes, he carried his drums (from the den) to our room to play a song to wake me up.

Then time for a little stacking:

And measuring:

And finally, singing of "Head, Shoulders, Knees & Toes":

Dinnertime Story

As Sam and I were eating dinner tonight, he told me the following story. (And yes, I took notes. I could tell it was going to get interesting!)

Sam, Momma, Daddy, Grand and Granddaddy are going to ride on a bear's back to the jungle. Eli (friend from school) has to stay home because he's eating dinner. We're going to see some paw prints and get a giraffe, zebra, beaver, lizard, duck, log, dog, monkey and gorilla to bring home. We're also going to see a baby in a basket and Mowgli playing with monkeys (all inspired by the movie, The Jungle Book). The baby will come home with us, but not Mowgli. In addition, we'll see Max, who is nice, and the Wild Things, who are not nice, all from the book Where the Wild Things Are, and Randall, Mike and Sully, all from the movie Monsters Inc. It will be raining in the jungle. We'll sing "Bare Necessities." We'll sleep in tents (everyone in a purple tent, except for Daddy who gets a red tent.) Then we'll come home. The end. Wow.

The Sam Train

Check out Sam's train he built with his cars last night while I cooked dinner. By this morning, it stretched from the kitchen to the dining room table. The caboose was his Lightning McQueen suitcase. I love the imagination he used for this, but seriously, that's an incredible amount of cars! Pretty sure I'll be living in the cottage before long.

Happy Birthday Lola & Miller

The puppies turned 5 years old last week. To celebrate, Sam and I fixed them some special doggie birthday treats - Milkbones covered in peanut butter and sprinkles. Not sure if they ate them, but Sam certainly devoured his share of sprinkles.

Dr. Sam

Look! Look! Sam actually wore a costume one day while playing at home. There may be hope for Halloween this year after all! Yeah!

Looking cute in his doctor's scrubs

And now in his doctor's coat with his doctor's tools

Mickey was hurting and needed to be fixed.

No doctor's visit is complete without the kiss to feel better.

Good News!

Kodak Gallery has NOT done away with grandsboy just yet, so we'll keep on using it for as long as possible. That being said, DISNEY photos are now on there!

Check them out at www.kodakgallery.com/grandsboy

Sorry but they are in completely random order. Hope you enjoy!
