MDO Day 1 Report
So it seems Sam did great at his first day of Mother's Day Out. All eight kids were sound asleep when we went to pick him up Friday afternoon. It was precious! He was sleeping on his back, arms above his head, with one pacifier in his mouth, the other in his hand. It was his first time to sleep on a mat, and he didn't seem to mind it a bit. His teacher said they had to rock him just a few minutes, until he was drowsy, then they laid him down and he was out. He ate all of his lunch and liked playing in the gym (it was much too hot to go outside). He made a little craft (first of many to come) and received a certificate for his first day of school. He said maybe three words the entire way home. He was still quite tired. All in all, it seems it was a success!

1st Day of MDO
We just dropped off Sam for his first day of Mother's Day Out. Ash and I were a little nervous all morning, but he did great. I talked to one of his teachers for a few minutes, and then we said our goodbyes as he was walking off holding his teacher's hand. He was excited and ready to play.
However, I made the mistake of peeking in the window one last time before we left. Yeah, that was a bad choice. He was sitting in his teacher's lap, crying. I think he'd hit his head though. Well, at least that's what I'm telling myself. Here's some pictures from this morning. Enjoy.

Notta Farm Picnic
The weather was so nice Friday that Sam and I had a picnic lunch here at Notta Farm. We enjoyed a yummy meal - peanut butter and (homemade-by-Nanny) strawberry jelly sandwiches with our own little bag of cheetos. Yes, it was a splurge. And yes, Sam takes after his mother and LOVES fake orange food. I don't know what is in those to make it that color and I don't care. Love the fake orange! Anyway, we had lots of fun. Be sure to check out all of our picnic photos on grandsboy. Enjoy!
