As promised ...

There are new pictures posted on grandsboy. Hope you enjoy!

Here's a few that didn't get uploaded. Sam's Daddy and Granddaddy took him to a German restaurant while we were in Florida. He quickly became the center of attention!

Other Sam tidbits:
He's trying so hard to snap his fingers. He just can't quite figure it out.

His top two teeth are finally in. So cute!

He loves a round of applause - for himself, of course. He gets so excited when you clap for him, and then you must continue to do so for 10-15 minutes after you began. Once the applause starts dying down, he begins clapping and yelling so you'll start all over again. One morning in Florida, he woke up at 4:00. I put him in bed with us, hoping he'd fall back asleep. As we're laying there in the dark, trying to rest, he just starts clapping. And clapping. And squealing. And clapping. The next morning, at 4:00, same thing. Except this time, I let him stay in his own bed!

We're back

Just a quick note to let everyone know we made it back from Florida this afternoon. We had a wonderful time. The weather this weekend was just gorgeous - as you can see! Sam loved the beach. I'll try to post pictures tomorrow on grandsboy.

Save the Date

I've already had several people ask about Sam's first birthday. We are planning a party on his actual birthday - Saturday, April 5th - at NottaFarm. We'll grill some hamburgers and hot dogs for lunch. And of course, have lots and lots of CAKE! More details to follow later, but go ahead and mark it on your calendar!

Happy Valentine's Day

Sam would like to wish all of our family and friends a wonderful Valentine's Day. He celebrated the evening with a delicious spaghetti dinner. Take a look ...

Laundry

This kid loves laundry. He played with the laundry basket for 25 minutes today. Seriously, 25 minutes. It was glorious. He was so serious the entire time - taking out all the clothes, moving them from one pile to another, putting them back in the basket. He was very hard at work.

Oh Bam Bam

Our house has been standing for over fifty years, but I don't think it will survive Bam Bam. Look at what he did to the cabinet. Oh Bam Bam ...

Thank you Aunt Selena

Check out the cute t-shirt Aunt Selena bought for Sam on her European trip last April. What a cutie!

Sam updates

Here's a few quick Sam updates for you:

He's now got four teeth on the bottom, and the top two are just barely starting to poke through.

The kid is crazy about bananas! I have to hide them now because he wants one whenever he sees them. He truly is a monkey child.

He continues to absolutely love books! We've got about five that are in constant rotation, and he knows exactly which one he wants to read next. He'll either hand it to you or grunt until you select the appropriate book. Once you do, he giggles and does his happy dance. Animals and little children are the big hits right now.

He can now do the "roll it up, roll it up" part of patty cake. He loves it!

There's a rumor that he can say "bye bye." I haven't heard it yet, but we'll try to get it on video for you.

A request: Send Sam some postcards. Another favorite right now is the annoying subscription cards in magazines. He likes for you to tear them out for him. He lays in the floor "reading" them out loud. I think he would enjoy some real postcards. He loves finding stuff in his mailbox on the little house Poppa and Nana Beth gave him for Christmas. So when you are out and about, be on the lookout for postcards. Drop Sam a line and we'll be sure to stuff his mailbox full!
