Merry Christmas

What a wonderful Christmas Day we've had! It started early, around 5:30 this morning, and the little man finally gave it up about 7:30 pm. Wow ... what a day! We started with gifts from Santa this morning, then had family over for breakfast and ended the day at Pop & Gracie's. Sam has had such a wonderful Christmas, and it's not over yet! We're headed to Grand & Granddaddy's in the morning. What a lucky little boy!

Happy Christmas Eve

Well Santa's cookies are out, the key is hidden and the baby is fast asleep. Christmas magic is close at hand here at NottaFarm.

We decided to hide a key for Santa outside since we don't have a chimney for him to climb down.

Sam got his first taste of sugar cookie this afternoon. He's a big fan!

He was also a huge fan of all the people at church tonight. Wow, was he loud! The kid loves an audience. Sounds familiar, doesn't it?

Happy Christmas Eve to everyone. We're eagerly awaiting our first Christmas morning with the little man! Such excitement ...

Funeral Home Christmas Dinner

Sam attended his first Funeral Home Christmas dinner last week. He had fun greeting everyone as they arrived and he provided some great entertainment while we ate. The kid knows how to work a crowd! Just like his daddy ...

Christmas with Grand's family

We had our first round of family Christmas gatherings this past weekend at Grand and Granddaddy's. (These are just a couple of the photos we took. I haven't uploaded the rest yet.) Sam had a lot of fun playing with Aunt Lori and her family and Uncle Mike. He's looking forward to the next round, with Poppa, Nana Beth and Aunt Selena!

Christmas Parade

Sam had a huge day Saturday. He got to enjoy his first Christmas Parade, meet Santa and meet his future best friend, Ben Brogden. Here's a few pictures, and there's always lots more at kodakgallery.com/grandsboy.

Wiggle Time

Ash and I took Sam to Wiggle Time today in Cookeville. It's a soft-play gym for kids age 5 and under. There were about 20 kids playing when we arrived. He was a little overwhelmed at first. He even started sucking his thumb, which is something you don't see often. But then he started to get into it and had so much fun. They just have mats on the floor and all sorts of cushions, mats and play gyms to climb on. He got in one of the swings they have hanging from the ceiling. He loved that and the pit full of balls. We forgot the camera, so these pictures are from Ash's phone.

Go Baby Go

As promised, some more video of Sam crawling. He's not always fussy when he's on the go. Usually he's quite happy. He had been laughing - right up until the moment I turned on the camera. Oh well ...

Fun in the Tub

Hilarious!

Bath Time

If you think these are cute, just wait until you see video from tonight's bath. This kid was crazy!

He's Crawling!

It's true. I shot this (long) video yesterday morning. This morning he's doing even better. I'll try to get some more video today to post so you can really see him go. So far, Chloe's ball is his main motivation to scoot across the room.

Thank you Gracie

Thank you Gracie for the adorable Christmas outfit. Apparently this kid's head is huge, because the little hat isn't even close to fitting!

Ash's Banner

Some close-ups of the banner so you can see how cute Sam looks!

Happy Bday Dada!

Ash had a wonderful birthday Friday. Sam and I surprised him with the cutest banner. It's pictures of Sam spelling out "Happy Birthday." That was a fun little project that took several days to complete. I cooked Ash a huge birthday breakfast, complete with homemade biscuits (my first attempt turned out pretty good). Then we loaded up the little man and dropped him off at Pop & Gracie's. He spent the night with them, and Ash and I escaped - alone - to Knoxville for the night. Everyone had fun!

Sam's 1st Christmas Tree

The three of us went to pick out Sam's very first Christmas tree last week. He had fun, but was very hesitant to touch it. Let's hope he stays that way!
