Sunday Family Fun Day

We took Sam to Burgess Falls today for a fun little picnic playdate. We grilled hot dogs, played on the swings and the playground, and even went on a little hike. We didn't make it all the way to the falls, but we got to see some pretty scenery along the way.

Kindermusik Concert

Mrs. Jane hosted an outdoor concert at her house last week after we finished our Kindermusik class. She had a lady from TN Tech come and play the harp for all the kids. It was a beautiful day to have a picnic lunch and enjoy some soothing music outside. Well it would have been soothing, except for the fact that Sam didn't care to sit still, eat or be quite during the entire concert. Good times. He did have fun when he got the chance to play the harp. And he almost got his picture in the Cookeville newspaper playing the harp, but they chose a shot of some other kids playing instead. Oh well ...

This is Mrs. Jane. Sam loves her. The only way he'd be quiet during the concert was to sit in Mrs. Jane's lap and eat his lunch.

Disney Live

Several weeks ago, we got the opportunity to see Disney Live in Nashville. The whole gang was there - Little Einsteins, Pooh, Tigger, Darby, Mickey, Minnie, Donald, and yes, Manny and the Tools! Sam had a most wonderful time. At the end of the show, they let the kids come up front and dance in front of the stage. Note I said the FRONT of the stage; Sam didn't understand that we couldn't get ON the stage. One of the workers had to pull him off the steps as he tried to rush the stage to get to Mickey Mouse. There was a slight meltdown after that, but all in all, he had a blast!

Thank you Grand and Granddaddy for the tickets!
